Teen fathers program/ community gun violence prevention program
The Teen Father's Program is designed to support young fathers as they navigate the challenges of parenthood. It offers resources such as parenting workshops, mentorship opportunities, and access to educational and career counseling. By fostering a supportive community, the program aims to empower teen fathers to become responsible and engaged parents, creating a positive impact on their families and future.
The Community Gun Violence Prevention Program aims to reduce gun-related incidents through education, outreach, and support. By fostering collaboration among local organizations, law enforcement, and residents, the program seeks to create safer neighborhoods. It focuses on proactive measures such as conflict resolution workshops, youth engagement initiatives, and facilitating access to mental health resources. Through these efforts, the program strives to address the root causes of violence and build a community where everyone feels secure.

Housing and Support
Housing for Success: Providing a stable and supportive housing is crucial in helping young adults transition into successful and independent lives. This program focuses on housing for young adults often include resources such as life skills training, educational support, and career development opportunities. By creating environments where young individuals can thrive, this initiative aims to empower them to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.

Basic Center Program:
Through the funding from the Family and Youth Service Bureau/ACF, GBAPP’s Basic Center Program helps create and strengthen community-based programs that meet the immediate needs of male youth between the ages of 13-17 who are experiencing homelessness or who have run away.
In addition, Basic Center Programs try to reunite young people with their families or locate appropriate alternative placements.

The Vehicle for Change program is operated by Greater Bridgeport Area Prevention Program in partnership with Supportive Housing Works and numerous additional community providers.
The vision of VFC is to assist youth, aged 24 and under, in achieving health, housing stability, and opportunities to thrive.
