HIV prevention and care Services

HIV prevention and care services play a crucial role in managing and reducing the spread of the virus while supporting those living with HIV to lead healthy lives. Prevention strategies include the widespread promotion of safe sex practices, such as using condoms, and the availability of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for individuals at high risk.
Regular testing and early diagnosis are essential components, enabling the timely initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART) that helps maintain low viral loads, reducing the risk of transmission. Comprehensive care services extend beyond medical treatment to include psychological support, counseling, and education, which empower individuals to manage their health effectively.
