Nancy Kingwood-Small

Nancy Kingwood, MA, MS

President/Executive Director

Rev. Nancy holds two degrees in Human Services and a Masters of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College. She is a 2010 graduate of the Black Ministries Program and holds a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Hartford Seminary. She is a 2012 graduate of the CT Health Foundation Fellows program. 

 

She is a member of the Women of Color Congressional Briefing Committee and the National Black Women’s HIV Network. Nancy holds certifications on the National Human Services Board, the Women of Color Leadership Institute, National Minority AIDS Council, HIV Prevention Counselor, SAMHSA Train the Trainer Trauma-Informed Approaches, and is a member of the National Organization of Human Services.

 

Nancy has received various community awards including Bank of America Local Hero Award, 100 Professional Women of Color 2018, Sojourner Truth Community Service Award/Rev. Nancy Kingwood Day/City of Bridgeport, Her Haven Project, Beacon of Hope Award, Bucks for Bud, Legislative Citation for her work in underserved communities.

Rudy Feudo, PhD

Rudy Feudo, Ph.D., former Executive Director of GBAPP, Incorporated, has served the community over 35 years in developing, instituting, and evaluating public health service programs for underserved populations in the state of Connecticut. In the last 35 years, Dr. Feudo has served as the Health Director for the City of Bridgeport, Chair of Health and Social Services Subcommittee for Connecticut Task Force on Early Adolescent Education, Chairman of Stratford Health Task Force, Principle Investigator for a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) funded project targeting women at risk for HIV/AIDS, Project Director for a NIDA funded Microbicides project, Project Director for a Special Significance (SPNS) project under the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) targeting minority adolescents at risk for HIV/AIDS, Project Director for a Center for Disease Control and Prevention grant for HIV prevention in African American youth, and Project Director for Ryan White Part A Program for comprehensive services for adolescents, women, and men with HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Feudo published articles in the Journal of Adolescent Health, Child Welfare Journal of America, Journal of American Medical Association, and Psychology of Addictive Behavior. Dr. Feudo is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Boston University, and the University of Connecticut majoring in Community Health Education and Public Health.

 

Dr. Feudo lives in Stratford with his wife and son and is a newly minted grandfather to Charlotte Jane. Dr. Feudo is currently on the Board of Directors of GBAPP and serves as its Treasurer.
